Coast Live oak (quercus agrifolia)

Also known as California Live Oak, these stately evergreen oaks are native to coastal California. They are classified in the red oak family. These trees are highly adapted to the dry woodland coastal climate and their leaf shape allows them to take advantage of ocean mist rolling inland. These majestic trees can live for generations, often longer than 250 years.
